False Start

The temperatures of 70+ of late had lured me into believing Spring had arrived. I awoke today to a temperature outdoors of 45 degrees, evidence that there's still a bit of time left to enjoy those chilly mornings before the onslaught of Dallas' 2-week-long Springtime. Then, it will become SUMMER, that period of several months that makes living in Dallas seem like a choice made by idiots and only idiots. For now, though, I'll wear a sweater and enjoy it.

I think Texas sounds like a living hell, with various locations being circles of hell, exacerbated by the weather.
I am sorry that nice people like you and a few others I know live there.

I paint too bleak a picture of Texas. There's a lot to recommend it. The political landscape is not one to recommend it, though. And the unending Spring isn't either. But there are things to see here that are astonishing...but it's too f..ing hot in the summer!

It always sounds a little over the top there in summer, but then, the same may be said about both our winters and our summers up here in my region.
